Authority to communicate

Clearfile only communicates with third parties where authority has been provided.

Written authority is required

Clearfile Correspondence may communicate with creditors, collectors, service providers, complaints teams, public bodies, insurers, regulators, ombudsman services, legal representatives and other organisations only where the client has provided authority for the relevant matter.

Authority should identify the client, the organisation/account, the reference number where known, the scope of communication and the period covered.

Suggested authority wording

Clearfile Correspondence is authorised to receive, send and manage written correspondence on my behalf in relation to this matter. Please direct future written communication to Clearfile Correspondence unless instructed otherwise.

Scope limits

What Clearfile may do

Receive correspondence, organise records, prepare administrative responses, maintain logs and track deadlines.

What Clearfile does not do

Provide legal advice, financial advice, debt counselling, debt adjusting, insolvency advice, claims-management services or regulated professional advice.

Client responsibility

The client remains responsible for the underlying account, debt, contract, payment decisions, settlement decisions, complaint decisions and legal deadlines.
