Terms of Service
These terms explain the service boundary, payment basis and client responsibilities for Clearfile Correspondence.
These terms are a practical website template and should be reviewed before public trading. They do not replace legal advice about your exact business model.
1. Service role
Clearfile Correspondence provides administrative correspondence management, document organisation, case-file administration and software support.
Clearfile Correspondence does not provide legal advice, financial advice, debt counselling, debt adjusting, debt-management plans, insolvency advice, claims-management services or regulated professional advice. Clearfile does not handle client funds.
2. Debt Correspondence Administration
Debt Correspondence Administration is charged per active debt or creditor account. An active debt means one creditor, lender, debt purchaser, debt collector, solicitor, enforcement agent or account reference requiring ongoing administrative correspondence support.
The Stripe quantity for monthly debt administration should match the number of active debts/accounts selected for support.
3. No guarantee of outcome
Clearfile cannot guarantee that any debt, account, complaint or matter will be paused, reduced, written off, settled, cleared, refunded, closed or resolved. Outcomes depend on the facts, evidence, creditor discretion, account history, contractual position, complaint process and any legal or regulatory process.
4. Client responsibility
The client remains responsible for the underlying debt, account, agreement, payment decisions, settlement decisions, complaint decisions, court documents, deadlines and any legal or financial consequences arising from their matter.
5. Authority and consent
Before Clearfile contacts third parties, the client must complete the Client Authority, Consent and Service Agreement form. Clearfile may refuse or pause work if sufficient authority or information is not provided.
6. Payments
Payments are taken through Stripe-hosted checkout or Stripe invoices. Clearfile does not store card details on this website.
Current public starting prices include Admin Suitability Review at £9.99, Basic Debt File Setup at £19.99, monthly debt correspondence administration from £7.99 per active debt/account, and bespoke software requirements review at £49.99.
7. Software
All Clearfile software packages include backup and rollback functionality as standard where technically possible. The exact scope, supported file types, operating system, workflow, excluded functionality and limitations should be agreed in writing before build work starts.
8. Limitation of liability
Clearfile is responsible only for providing the administrative or software services expressly agreed in writing. Clearfile is not liable for creditor decisions, enforcement action, interest, charges, defaults, credit-file reporting, court action, missed payments, rejected complaints, rejected settlement offers or refusal by any third party to engage with Clearfile.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
